UPDATE 7/19/10:
Ok everyone, here's the first of what will be several updates.
We plan on being open in time for "The Mane Event" and "Taste of Arlington Heights" on August 20 & 21.
Thank you to everyone who has offered encouraging words, both online & in person around town. We are looking forward to getting back to the business of serving our community!
It is with great sadness that we tell you that this will be the last newsletter from Pamela's Parkside Grill.
Unless anyone is interested in becoming our partner, we will be closing our doors as of end of business Saturday night (yes, THIS Sat. night).
Unfortunately, even though there is more business every month and people love our food and concept, we were undercapitalized from the start due to unfulfilled commitments that were made to us.
Howard & I have put all we have into this in order to get this far and make sure our staff has been paid. We cannot, in good conscience, ask them to continue. We would ask that if anyone can use AWESOME kitchen help or has room for any of our 3 top-notch servers, please let us know ASAP.
The only thing that would enable us to continue at this jewel of a location would be an investor or partner. We would welcome either.
In addition, both Howard & I are looking for employment! You've seen us in action, you know we work hard and well. We are open to change and come with a wide variety of skills. Howard has an extensive background in the auto financing business in addition to his culinary skills. I have been a designer for over 30 years, dealing with clients both commercial & residential, from the city to the Northshore. My outgoing personality and ability to articulate ideas and bring them into reality would serve well in a variety of applications. Not to mention my skills as a welder!
I would love to make use of my notoriety in the Arlington Heights area to benefit another business or even the village itself.
So...we'd love to see you all this week, we thank you all for your patronage and we will miss seeing you. You see, we really feel like we created a family here, we have spent the last 6 months with you and it's been a love affair to remember.
